A beautiful Dorton House Wedding in Buckinghamshire

A (cough) few years ago when I was a teenager, I worked at Great Mills DIY store. I made some great friends who made my time spent there a blast. Fast forward a few years and with the wonders of Facebook, I was contacted by one of my old Great Mills work friends Chris, to photograph his wedding to Liz at the beautiful Dorton House in the Buckinghamshire countryside.

I fell in love with Dorton House, not just from the beauty of the venue but for it's individual character and the ability to really customize the day to fit your own style. The food looked and tasted amazing, there was a croquet set for guests to play on the lawn, a large adventure playground (perfect for little wedding guests) and lots of gardens with beautiful photo opportunities. The staff were friendly and even brought out jugs of Pimms for guests to enjoy in the afternoon sunshine. In fact, I think if I was to get married again, this would be my venue of choice!

Chris and Liz's wedding was a small and intimate family wedding, with all of their friends joining them later for the evenings celebrations. They had put so much care and attention into all of the details, that the house looked superb. There were flowers in jars, bunting, heart decorations, fairy lights, photo walls and the wedding speeches were framed and put up so that the evening guests could read them. They'd created a sweet shop, with sweets in jars for the evening guests it all looked brilliant.

Here are some shots from the day. Feel free to leave comments below.
